Governance

Mission and Vision

The Shooting Federation of Canada (SFC) is the national sport governing body responsible for the development and governing of organized, recreational, and competitive target shooting in and for Canada. To promote the growth of our sport, the SFC delivers programs for officials, coaches, volunteers, and high performance athletes. The Board of Directors (BOD) represents the SFC, and is charged with protecting its public purpose and ensuring that funds are used responsibly and as effectively as possible. To achieve this stewardship, the BOD forms committees. The duties, powers, policies, and procedures of these committees are detailed in the Policy & Procedures Manual.

Values

Our values are:

  • Being accountable to, and supportive of, our members and stakeholders

  • Performing our roles with integrity and transparency

  • Committed to respect and equitable opportunity

Bylaws

The By-Laws provide the structure and framework for the governance of the SFC and amendments to the by-laws are approved by the Board of Directors and confirmed by the members.
